ClearTake

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026 ยท Applies to ClearTake for iPhone, version 1.0

ClearTake collects no data. There is no account system, no analytics, and no advertising. The app contains no networking code of its own, so your video and audio stay on your iPhone.

Your media

When you pick a video or a recording, ClearTake reads it from your device and processes the audio with a signal-processing engine that runs entirely on your iPhone. The video track is copied through untouched. Nothing you import is uploaded to me or to any third party.

Working files go to the app's own sandbox, and the finished file goes wherever you send it: your Photos library, the Files app, or another app you share to. Once it leaves ClearTake, the receiving app's rules apply.

The measured number

After processing, the app shows how much the noise floor dropped, measured by comparing the noise-only sections of your file before and after. That measurement happens on your device and is never sent anywhere. It is not stored after you leave the screen.

Permissions the app asks for

Purchases

The first 3 uses are free. Unlocking unlimited use is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment and tells the app whether the purchase is active. I never see your payment details, and the app stores no personal information about you.

Children

ClearTake is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Since the app collects nothing, any change will most likely be a clarification rather than a new practice.
